Programme Objective
The digital revolution is bringing out mass changes in the regulatory landscape, most particularly in the financial space. In Singapore, the MAS has pushed through a slew of regulations to help accelerate the process of obtaining licenses and approvals for new startups. This course will equip learners with a good understanding of regulations and the risks involved - regardless of whether you are building a FinTech or RegTech startup.

Visit one of the latest FinTech innovation labs and startups in Singapore to learn about how innovation and technology are applied. Get the inside scoop on the industry through a behind-the-scenes guided tour of these labs and startups.
 

Programme Outline

  • Identify regulatory and legal issues as well as examine how they can spur innovation and act as a catalyst for innovation in the financial services industry
  • Know the risks of digital strategies and its importance.

Chye Kit is the Founder and CEO of a RegTech startup - traceto.io founded to solve the KYC problem by leveraging off the potential of blockchain technology, harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and democratising the sovereignty of identity. It wants to promote regulatory inclusion and empowerment for the blockchain community with respect to KYC.

 

Dr Koh Noi Keng

Dr Koh Noi Keng is the CEO of Fintech Academy which supports the Singapore Fintech Association in empowering our workforce in upskilling and reskilling in the fintech space. She  was lecturing in Nanyang Technological University for 17 years in Accounting, Economics and Business education. Advocating diversity in teaching and learning,  Dr Koh is a also the champion of financial literacy in Singapore and is involved in spearheading financial and business education in Singapore schools. Using engaging pedagogies, technology and a model that has great multiplier effect, she has positioned NTU in the forefront of the University’s work in this area. While at NTU, she was appointed Consultant to various agencies and organizations like MOE, SGX, NHG, OCBC, GE, LCCI, MYOB, NETS and Citi for education programmes.

 

Specialities: Research into engaging pedagogies, mixed-mode delivery, ICT, financial literacy, entrepreneurship,serious games and learning environment.
