Differing Working Styles of the 4 Generation currently at workplace possess communication challenges. The conflicts are real. Having a better understanding of each generation can help bridge the gap of generational divide and make the working and learning environment more engaging, fun and productive.
 

Programme Outline

Discover Effective Strategies, Supportive Behaviour and tips for Communication with Traditionalist, Baby boomers, Generation X and Generation Y and applicable practices to thrive in a multi-generational workforce. These will be drawn from latest research and case studies to provide the best learning principles.
 
At the end of this workshop, participants will be to:

  • Differentiate between Generations, Their Background, Attitude and Life Experiences
  • Develop Communication and Interpersonal Skills needed for team integration
  • Apply Strategies of How to talk to Traditionalist, Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y and how not to talk to them.
  • Find Common Ground. Adopting cross- generational motivational techniques.
  • Use Supportive Behaviours and Tips for Communication to bring conflicts to collaboration.
  • Identify the power of 4, Strategies to Lead, Motivate and Retain Gen X and Gen Y
 
Training Methodology
Experiential and Action Learning including participant’s job related case studies role-play and group discussions.

Madeline Ernest is a Senior Consultant of Training Edge International and has more than 10 years of experience in education and in-house training. Madeline has a varied and exciting career path.  She started as an educator.  After which, she made the exciting leap into the world of advertising and brand communications where she chalked up 14 years of valuable experience at renowned global agencies working on prestigious international brands, including Visa International, Samsung and adidas.  She left the world of advertising in 2009 to purse an MBA at James Cook University (Singapore).


The ability to engage, influence and inspire comes easily to Madeline as its part of her DNA. Madeline has a unique advantage of blending her experiences from the vibrant advertising industry that is underpinned with her training as a qualified educator.  Having been trained as an educator, Madeline is able to help simplify language rules, provide strategies, avoiding language pitfalls on how best to handle different aspects of professional writing.


Madeline has facilitated training sessions on a wide spectrum of topics, which broadly fall into the cluster areas of Branding, Communication and Effectiveness.
