Chairman of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and President of CIMA: Mr Andrew Miskin FCMA, CGMA
Andrew is an experienced management consultant who has worked with senior executives all over the world.
Andrew is the first Chairman of the newly formed Association of International Certified Professional Accountants by CIMA and the American Institute of CPAs. Within CIMA, he has held a variety of roles including serving on the CIMA council, as Chairman of CIMA’s members' services committee and as Deputy President of the executive committee.
Andrew went to Cambridge University, where he studied engineering. He started his career as an industrial engineer with Michelin Tyres and afterwards worked for Esso Petroleum, where he also took his CIMA qualifications. He was a direct entry Fellow in 1989 having won prizes at stages 2 and 4 of his CIMA exams.
25 years ago, Andrew moved to management consulting and has held senior leadership roles within Esso, KPMG, IBM, CSC and PricewaterhouseCoopers. During this time, he was mostly responsible for large client change programs.
From 2001 to 2005, Andrew was Partner in charge of the non-Financial Services, Commercial Consulting division for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the UK. Between 2005 and 2008 Andrew set up and led their Consulting business across Europe. His major clients included BP, Tui Travel and Syngenta.
Having been born and educated in Birmingham, his management consulting career allowed Andrew to live and work all over the world – from Paris, Iraq and Switzerland to Ukraine. Today, he lives in Greater London with his family.
Andrew retired from full time employment in 2012 and now undertakes pro-bono charitable consulting work through the auspices of the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants. In his spare time, he also runs the website for his London-based choir.
Andrew is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and is a Chartered Engineer.
