Programme Objective
"Digitally, Singapore is one of the most connected nations in the world... However, reliance on infocomm technologies also makes us vulnerable. Cyber threats and attacks are becoming more sophisticated, with more severe consequences. We cannot take cybersecurity for granted." (PM Lee Hsien Loong, in Singapore's Cybersecurity Strategy (Cyber Security Agency of Singapore).
 
This blended learning and experiential programme provides middle-senior management the understanding and application of the different aspects of cyber forensics and cybersecurity knowledge and skills.

Programme Outline

The following areas will be covered:

  1. Interpret the Singapore’s Cybersecurity Strategy (from CSA). This is with reference to the national level cyber security strategy from the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore.
  2. Explain the basics of Cybersecurity and Cyber Forensics.
  3. Illustrate the interlink between Cybersecurity, Cyber Forensics, Personal Data and Intellectual Property.
  4. Using and Devising a Cybersecurity Planning Guide (CPG) for an Organization. The hands-on experience of a CPG will enable a more effective transfer of learning for the participants.
  5. Application of the CPG using a Case Study.
  6. Articulating the use of Cyber Forensics in the Organization.
  7. Application of Blockchain in Cyber Forensics. Another hands-on experience relevant to benefiting the digital asset management of corporations.

 
Participants shall bring along a laptop (preferably personal laptop) so that relevant software applications can be installed for use during this highly interactive programme.
 
Additional instructions in relation to the preparation of the laptop for the programme will be sent to the participants prior to the course.

1] NTUC Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)
UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme) is an individual skills upgrading account for NTUC members.

NTUC members enjoy 50% *unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2022. *This excludes miscellaneous fees such as GST and registration fee etc.
 
This course is approved for UTAP support for intakes conducted between 01 April 2021 – 31 March 2022.
 
As UTAP is given on calendar year basis, and calculated based on year of training taken, it cannot be accumulated.

  • Maintained paid-up NTUC membership before course, throughout course duration and at the point of claim and;
  • Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP and training must commence within the supported period and;
  • Unfunded course fee must not be fully sponsored by company or other types of funding
  • Unfunded course fee must be S$20.00 and above, and;
  • Member must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any and;
  • UTAP application must be made within 6 months after course ends.
