This course is formerly known as 'Blockchain, Cryptoassets and ICO Due Diligence'.

Programme Objective

This blended learning and experiential programme provides middle-senior management the understanding of the blockchain technology in the financial industry and beyond. The programme also covers the relationship between both bitcoin and altcoins in the context of blockchain and its implication for the industry. Among the many forms of fund raising from Pre-seed, Seed, Series A, Series B, Series C, and IPO (Initial Public Offering), Initial Coin Offering or (ICO) is currently a common form as well – however, as hyped up as ICO may be, there are limits to fund raising using the ICO option. Moreover, there are ICO exit scams that one need to be wary off and this programme include various hands-on case studies to enable the participant to be equip with knowledge and skills to navigate this new technology and fund-raising space

Programme Outline

The following areas will be covered:

  1. Explain the Digital Transformation, Smart Nation and blockchain technology
  2. Understand the blockchain technology and its application in the financial industry and beyond
  3. Articulate the forensics involving blockchain for auditors
  4. Understand Cryptoassets including bitcoin, altcoins and appcoins
  5. Illustrate the regulatory landscape for Cryptoassets
  6. Explain the various funding routes for companies: Pre-seed, Seed, Series A, Series, B, Series C, IPO and ICO
  7. Analyze ICO deals though the use of a BANSEA* ICO Due Diligence Framework (BID)
  8. Evaluation of ICO projects using the BID framework

Participants shall bring along a laptop (preferably personal laptop) so that relevant software applications can be installed for use during this highly interactive programme.
 
Additional instructions in relation to the preparation of the laptop for the programme will be sent to the participants prior to the course.
