Programme Objective

In a world plagued by cyber-attacks, protecting valuable data is of the utmost importance. As a result, companies are treating cybersecurity as a risk that must be actively managed rather than just a technological issue. Singapore has taken the lead in addressing this challenge by passing its first dedicated cybersecurity framework in 2018.

Auditors play a critical role in assessing and mitigating cybersecurity risks. In 2018, ISCA launched a publication to guide auditors in assessing cybersecurity risk in a financial statement audit. This program builds upon that foundation by providing auditors with a basic understanding of cyber security risks and best practices.

Attendees will leave equipped with the ability to perform high-level assessments of their cybersecurity maturity and be prepared to respond to any security events. The course will cover incorporating cybersecurity risk considerations into risk assessment during audit planning, as well as appropriate audit responses to the identified risks.
