Programme Objective

The Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) has been implemented since 2 July 2014. As at to-date, about 80 companies have been investigated for breaches of PDPA which potentially the highest financial penalty can amount to 1 million Singapore Dollars. And effective from 1 September 2019, great care must be exercised for using and accessing individual identity card. Failure to do so might result the company in danger of breaching the PDPA. 

It is important for the finance department in any business to be aware of the personal data protection compliance and the potential data breaches which can be costly. This course aims to provide participants with better understanding and guidance on building the capabilities in managing the personal data protection compliance.
