Programme Objective
 
There is renewed confidence and a wave of positivity towards India. As in most fast growing economies, India has a complex tax structure in place and new tax laws are proposed to be introduced in the next few years. It is imperative foreign investors gain a good understanding of India’s tax system. This one-day workshop is designed to provide an update of the Indian tax system and equip attendees with practical knowledge on efficient tax planning in India using tax incentives, tax rebates and double tax treaties.

Gaurav has more than 11 years of experience in Internaitonal tax and regulatory field. Gaurav has advised several large multinational companies on their cross border transactions from International tax perspective. He has advised clients on their entry and exit strategies in India including planning from Tax, Corporate laws and related regulations perspective including assistance in setting–up companies in India with the most optimal capital structure. Gaurav has extensive experience in dealing with clients in the Consumer Products, Pharma, Gems and Jewelery, Retail sector. Prior to Singapore, Gaurav was part of KPMG India Internaitonal Tax & Regulatory team for 10 years. Currently, he is on long term secondment with KPMG Singapore as India desk.
