Programme Objective

The workshop will be discussion-based, covering the key finding reported in ACRA practice monitoring programme (PMP) public reports.  There will be practical illustrations on appropriate audit procedures and essential documentation to improve audit quality.

Programme Outline

•          Audit risk assessment – Identifying and responding to risks of material misstatements
•          Audit of inventories – Valuation tests
•          Audit of accounts receivables – Collectability test
•          Audit of accounting estimates – Provisions and Impairment testing
•          Audit of revenue - Complex recognition issues, including construction contracts
•          Audit of groups - Significant components, component materiality and relying on the work of component auditors
•          Other areas

Training Methodology

Lecture style with interactive discussions.

1 week before programme or until full enrolment.

Intended For

An Intermediate to Advanced level programme intended for both public accountants and auditors. This workshop is will also be very useful to help participants meet their audit objectives by addressing the deficiencies noted in recent ACRA PMP public reports.
