Programme Objective

The aim of the 2-part programme is to build the capability of finance professionals, risk managers and risk owners through structured lectures, discussions, practical case studies and assessments.

Part 1: Alignment of Risk with Organisational Strategy & Performance.

Participants would be able to:

  • Understand to address common enterprise risk management failures
  • Holistically identify, assess and manage risks to help an organisation achieve its mission, vision, strategy & performance in the current unpredictable environment 

These applications are to be aligned with organisation’s risk maturity level & risk policy with a targeted organisation-wide risk management programme which includes implementation plan and monitoring strategy.


Part 2: Financial Risk Management for Better Decision Making and Enhanced Performance
 
With increasing global concerns of financial risk and slow economic growth, enterprises of all kinds and sizes are in search of robust financial risk management frameworks that satisfy compliance demands, contribute to better decision making and enhanced performance.
 
The purpose of this programme is to equip participants with the necessary skills to assess these financial risks and manage them strategically with the use of latest financial instruments.
 
We will focus on the global concerns and seek to improve processes, valuations, and clear strategies across a range of matters including Market Risk (equity, currency, interest rate and commodity), Credit and Operational Risks Measurement and Management, Funding and Liquidity Risk, Capital Adequacy and Regulatory Requirements, Sovereign and Country Risk.
 
The course is practically oriented, encompassing theoretical developments and their application in a real-world environment. 

Participants are given the flexibility to attempt Part 1 and Part 2 in any sequence within 6 months.
