Formerly known as “DGT003: Managing Business Performance With Business Analytics”

Programme Objective
Business Objectives, Key Performance Indicators, Benchmarking and Balanced Scorecards are useful tools for strategic planning, implementation and evaluation to achieve business performance. There is no shortage of management tools.

In this VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) 21st century, big data is pervasive with the proliferation of social media, IoT, e-commerce and digital technology. Coupled with the advancement in data science, machine learning and deep artificial neural network learning, data driven decisions and artificial intelligence have become the focus of organizational strategic and organizational performances.
Business Analytics is the scientific process of transforming data into insight for making better decisions. It focuses on developing new insights for predicting business performance beyond the traditional business intelligence based on historical data.

Executive information system, business intelligence and fundamental statistical analysis have been employed to provide insights on revenues, customers, products and other areas for business decisions in the two decades. Moving forward, how do organisations better leverage on big data and advanced mathematical algorithms for business analytics? How does business analytics drive strategic and organisational performance? Can businesses afford not to understand and adopt data analytics and artificial intelligence today when the future is all about digital transformation and ecosystem?
