This programme is previously known as "Becoming a Creative Accountant: Analytical and Creative Problem Solving". Programme Objective The move from the old economy to the new knowledge based economy places a premium on adding value through knowledge, skill and above all else, creativity. We need think and see problems in new ways and different perspectives realizing that there may be more than merely one “right” answer. This short workshop shows participants how to use creativity to generate ideas and solutions and how such thinking may be fostered and developed in themselves and their staff. At the same time it will help equip participants with the ability to approach challenges and problems with techniques and tools for practical application in real life.At the end of this workshop participants will be able to: Provide a fundamental understanding of how analytical thinking works Understand the systematic process of problem solving Review and revise the classic models of problem solving Recognise creative principles and techniques and how to apply them Use various creative thinking techniques to assist in a more creative and innovative approach to problem solving. Be equipped with a framework and set of tools and techniques for idea generation and evaluation Apply creative thinking techniques to produce new and different solutions

A foundation programme intended for all Accounting and Auditing Professionals. This programme is also suitable for experienced managers who are seeking to review and refresh their problem solving skills with an emphasis on creative problem solving.

NTUC members enjoy 50% *unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2022. *This excludes miscellaneous fees such as GST and registration fee etc. This course is approved for UTAP support for intakes conducted between 01 April 2021 – 31 March 2022. As UTAP is given on calendar year basis, and calculated based on year of training taken, it cannot be accumulated.

Over 20 years of working in Australia and Singapore, Daniel Lee has accumulated a vast experience and know-how in working, training and coaching participants from different cultures and work backgrounds.
After completing his Master of Human Resource Management from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia in 2006, Daniel started his career in Human Resources, working in Learning and Development across the Manufacturing, Professional services, and Facilities Management industries. He returned to Singapore in 2013 and spent 3 years in the local Banking and Finance industry.
In late 2016, Daniel moved into full time training. He has conducted many workshops, initially working with youths in the education industry, then from mid 2018 onwards, focused on working with adult learners. Daniel has run both in-house and public programmes for Accenture, American Express, PPG Industries, Bank of Singapore, Marina Bay Sands, BNP Paribas, Coles Group, Spotless, DHL, Shiseido, Standard Chartered, Telkom Indonesia, Beam Suntory, Cornerstone, and many more, clocking in over 1000 hours on training, speaking, and coaching to over 3000 participants across APAC.
In particular, Daniel has undertaken deep work in the realm of frontline leadership, understanding the challenges faced by different entities, leaders and individuals in an ever changing environment. Drawing upon his experiences, he is therefore able to bring to his clients, realistic and workable practices and options to achieve desired goals and objectives.
