Programme Objective

This workshop will focus on the more common PMP findings arising from ACRA and ISCA’s Practice Monitoring Programme (PMP) inspections. Through this workshop, participants will be able to understand the practical ways to address these common findings and improve audit quality.

  • Documentation of audit work performed
  • Going concern
  • Group audits
  • Functional currency
  • Impairment and reversal of impairment
  • Management override of controls
  • Sales and purchases cut-off
  • Using the work of experts


Learning Outcome:

  • Understand the more common PMP findings and how to address them during the audit
  • Apply the concepts learned in forming an opinion on the auditor’s report
  • Appreciate the documentation requirements and practical ways of documentation to demonstrate the audit procedures performed
  • Explain the common deficiencies noted in other areas such as group audits and impairment and how these can be effectively addressed
