Programme Objective

The business landscape today is volatile and full of uncertainty. Political and economic instability, the China-U.S trade war, cyberattacks, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and terrorism are only some of the sources of risk that Boards of Directors and executive management teams have to reckon with. Given the rapid pace of technological innovation, you now have a choice: Do you want to simply react to events and disasters as they happen? Or do you want to stay ahead of the curve and turn your risks into opportunities?

In addition, with the global push for Sustainability Reporting and the benefits that Sustainability Reporting brings to both investors and companies, the Singapore Exchange (SGX) launched the Sustainability Reporting listing rules and the Sustainability Reporting Guide (the SGX Guide) in June 2016. Entities listed on the SGX are required to prepare an annual Sustainability Report which describes the organisation’s sustainability practices with reference to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues with effect for any financial year ending on or after 31 December 2017.

Understanding the risk profile and sustainability reporting requirements of your organisation are two major components of strategic, operational and financial management, as it can directly impact upon a company’s success or failure.  Our job roles are now so multi-faceted that some fundamental risk management and sustainability reporting knowledge is almost compulsory.

Are you able to identify the key drivers of disruptions and build a sustainable, agile and resilient organisation?  Are you able to link the different components of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Sustainability Reporting (SR) and to help your organisation navigate the complex business landscape?

“Embedding Sustainability Reporting (SR) into Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) – The Asian Way” is a 1-day training workshop that employs a variety of interactive methods to illustrate tools, concepts and techniques which will help professionals to better understand the requirements of Enterprise Risk Management and Sustainability Reporting (SR).
