Programme Objective

  • Provide participants an overview of a Merger & Acquisition (M&A) process from initiation to completion
  • Highlight the critical success factors / key considerations at each stage of the process, including how finance department partners the business units in the entire M&A process
  • Share practical examples in M&A deals to participants based on facilitator’s multiple deal experiences globally. 

Programme Outline

  • Overview of the M&A process 
  • Key business considerations of a finance professional:
    • Strategic and market scouting 
    • Deal initiation  
    • Deal execution 
  • Essential of M&A negotiation to completion
    • Due diligence in a Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA)
    • Post-merger integration


Pre-requisites

Participants without foundation knowledge on M&A are strongly encouraged to go through the e-learning module (BF003i: Mergers and Acquisitions (1.5 CPE Hour))

Please also take note of the following admission requirements:

  • Trainings will be conducted on Zoom platform, thus video camera and microphone are compulsory
  • Mandatory for video camera to be turned on throughout the course
  • Display your official name (as per NRIC) in Zoom, to facilitate attendance taking

Instructor led presentation with facilitated learner’s discussion involving exercise/case study.

1 week before programme or until full enrolment.
