Programme Objective

Effective data visualisation is crucial in today's data-driven world. A well-designed data dashboard can help organisations make informed decisions by presenting complex data in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand way. This 1-Day course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to create effective data dashboards using the Tableau software to drive decision-making.


Participants will learn about best practices for data visualisation, and how to create interactive dashboards that allow users to explore data in real-time. By the end of the course, participants will be able to create data dashboards that communicate insights and drive decision-making.

  • Introduction to data dashboard design and Tableau
  • Principles of data visualisation and best practices
  • Creating effective visualisations using a large dataset
  • Combining visualisations to create a dashboard
  • Creating interactive dashboards using filters, parameter controls and other interactive features
  • Communicate data insights through an interactive dashboard using a case study e.g. Profit & Loss


Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:-
 

  • Apply best practices for data visualisation to their work/business environments
  • Use Tableau to create effective data visualisations including bar charts, line charts, scatter plots, heat maps and pie charts
  • Design and create interactive dashboards that allow users to explore data in real-time
