Tableau Public - Participants should create their own online account at: https://public.tableau.com/en-us/s/download.
- Introduction to data dashboard design and Tableau
- Principles of data visualisation and best practices
- Creating effective visualisations using a large dataset
- Combining visualisations to create a dashboard
- Creating interactive dashboards using filters, parameter controls and other interactive features
- Communicate data insights through an interactive dashboard using a case study e.g. Profit & Loss
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:-
- Apply best practices for data visualisation to their work/business environments
- Use Tableau to create effective data visualisations including bar charts, line charts, scatter plots, heat maps and pie charts
