2.00 CPE Hours (Category 2)
Live Webinar

Programme Objective

“1 in 6 adults experiences a common mental health problem, such as anxiety or depression. 1 in 5 adults considered taking their own life at some point” – Mental Health Foundation (2016)

A Year 2020 survey conducted amongst accountants and bookkeepers shows that 76% of them experienced anxiety or depression with 40% of them struggled with their mental health for the first time. More than half indicated their stress caused them serious concerns.

While it seems mental health problems are rather common, not many accountants are comfortable to speak to others about their mental health openly. The reasons could be that they fear others may doubt their professional competence and behaviours vis-à-vis fundamental principles of ethics as well as professional standards.
