Please note that this is a recording of the Live Session held on 18 March 2022.

Programme Outline

The increasing use (and abuse) of personal data in today's world is now top of mind of many business owners. In fact, you can see that this topic is becoming important for companies to understand as more countries in Asia announce data protection laws.  Thinking 'a data breach will not happen to my company' is a misconception as can be read in the daily news!  But where do you start with a data protection programme and what is available?

Today's talk will help you understand what is required to build a robust data protection foundation and covers:

  1. A summary of 2021 data protection issues and 5 Data Protection Trends to look out for in 2022
  2. Learning from enforcement cases
  3. Managing a Data Protection Management Programme (DPMP) in the pandemic
  4. Assessing the success of DPMP with the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM)
