Participants are required to bring along their laptops with Excel installed (preferably Office 365—app version, at least Excel 2013).

This comprehensive course is designed to empower finance professionals with the knowledge and skills on VBA and ChatGPT for accounting process. By the end of this program, participants will achieve the following objectives:

  1. Master VBA Fundamentals: Gain a deep understanding of VBA programming, from basic concepts to advanced techniques, ensuring you can confidently automate tasks and processes in finance.
  2. Hands-On Accounting Applications: Work on real-life accounting use cases to learn how to build macros to automate accounting processes.
  3. ChatGPT Collaboration: Learn how to seamlessly integrate ChatGPT into your VBA workflow to boost productivity and creativity.

  • Split data into different listings for approval
  • Compiling sales data from various sheets into Masterfile for analysis
  • Compiling sales data from various excel files into Masterfile for analysis

Using ChatGPT to Write VBA Macros

  • Writing VBA Macros with ChatGPT Assistance

1] NTUC Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

NTUC members enjoy 50% *unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2025.

*Unfunded course fee refers to the balance course fee payable after applicable government subsidies. This excludes material fees, registration fees, misc. fees etc.

  • Member must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any and;
  • UTAP application must be made within 6 months after course ends.

Daryl Aw is the founder and Managing Director of Skybots Pte Ltd in Singapore. Skybots provides automation solutions for accounting, tax, audit, corporate secretarial, finance and sustainability processes, helping companies in their digital transformation journey. These solutions involve using Robotics Procession Automation (RPA), data analytics and Artificial Intelligence tools such as ChatGPT to automate tedious and repetitive processes for companies to successfully achieve significant productivity gains. He was previously a lecturer in Singapore Polytechnic leading the accounting faculty in RPA and Sustainability projects. He was the lead in Strategic Partnerships leading collaborations with the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC), the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants
(ISCA) and the National Council of Social Services (NCSS).
 
He has overseen the implementation of more than 100 robots for more than 300 organisations. In 2021, he emerged as the champion at the ISCA RPA Hackathon. In 2022, he was nominated for The President’s Awards for Teachers.
 
Before joining Singapore Polytechnic, he was an auditor with EY Singapore providing auditing services to public listed and private companies in various industries. He is a Chartered Accountant with ISCA.
