Dr Khoo Guan Seng, PhD

Dr GS Khoo is a seasoned banking and fund management expert with over 28 years’ experience, including leadership in ESG and responsible investing. His career spans major financial institutions in the USA, Canada, UK, and Singapore, notably serving as Principal Scientist at Man Group, where he developed AI-driven hedge fund strategies, and holding key risk management roles at AIMCo, Temasek Holdings, and others.

He holds a PhD in Computational Physics from NUS, with postdoctoral work in AI data mining in Japan and the US, and co-founded NTU’s Centre for Financial Engineering and its MSc programme with CMU. Dr Khoo helped establish AIMCo’s Responsible Investing Unit and contributed to investment committees. Recently, he has led sustainability-focused and AI training for institutions across ASEAN, with ASB, LBS, and INSEAD.

As an NTU academic, he pioneered environmental education and authored works on AI, biodiversity, climate change education, and Singapore’s flora and fauna.

As a former District Judge and Deputy Senior State Counsel with Singapore’s Attorney-General’s Chambers, Jesudevan prosecuted complex financial crimes and advised on civil disputes, corporate fraud, corruption, international sanctions, and strategic trade controls, working in close collaboration with domestic agencies and foreign regulators across the region.

Today, as Founder and CEO of TradeKins, he operates at the intersection of law, risk, and strategy, advising governments, Fortune 500 companies and enterprises across the region. He also serves as President of the Centre for Trade Excellence, a non-profit institution advancing capacity building and international best practices across public and private sectors. A Fulbright Scholar, Jesudevan teaches           

A Fulbright Scholar, Jesudevan teaches Compliance and Risk Management at the National University of Singapore and Singapore Management University, helping to shape the next generation of principled leaders. He holds a Master of Laws from New York University and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2005.
