Programme ObjectiveThis course is ideal for students and working adults who are preparing themselves for the SCAQ Examinations Module – – Business Value, Governance and Risk (BG)
Upon completion of the Business Value, Governance and Risk (BG) module, candidates will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the basis upon which corporate value is created, maintained sustainably (eg sound investment decisions) and protected (eg by avoidance of excessive concentration of power and lack of scrutiny of management). Candidates will be able to assess how governance arrangements may prevent long-term dysfunctional behaviour. The module addresses risk management as a key factor in governance and strategy. It develops skills from previous studies in asset valuation in the context of wider considerations of capital investment appraisal, including strategic investment decisions, taking into account underlying financial risk management concepts for effective and responsible decision making. Be prepared to take the SCAQ Exam – Business Value, Governance and Risk (BG) after this course.Training MethodologyHybrid Learning with Learning Videos and a choice of in-person or live broadcast workshopsTimetable: Business Value, Governance and Risk (BG)Suggested ModeDateDayTimeLesson 1In-person10 OctoberThursday7.00pm – 10.00pmLesson 2Live Broadcast17 OctoberThursday7.00pm – 10.00pmLesson 3In-person21 OctoberMonday7.00pm – 10.00pmLesson 4Live Broadcast24 OctoberThursday7.00pm – 10.00pmLesson 5In-person30 OctoberWednesday7.00pm – 10.00pmLesson 6Live Broadcast7 NovemberThursday7.00pm – 10.00pmMock ExamOnline Completion to be done by 17 November (Sunday)Mock Exam DebriefIn-person27 NovemberWednesday7.00pm – 9.00pmClosing Date for Registration3 October 2024 or until full enrolment.
