UTAP Funding

The success of a business depends largely on the ability of the leaders to lead and influence the team towards accomplishing the mission. Leaders are required to adapt and inspect in this changing environment, and the ability to do so while nurturing a high-performing team forms the art and science of leadership.

This course aims to:

  1. provide an awareness of the key leadership traits required in this VUCA & BANI world.
  2. appreciate the values of traditional versus agile ways of working.
  3. develop essential leadership traits to foster business agility.

Programme Outline

  1. Essentials on the Changing VUCA & BANI External Environment.
  2. The traditional (waterfall) ways of conducting business, its merits, and limitations.
  3. Introduction to Agile Principles and values, origin, and concept.
  4. Agile Frameworks, tools, and techniques for Accountants.
  5. Self-Leadership styles through understanding the individual strength and opportunities.
  6. Key attributes and traits for effective group leadership in leading high-performing teams.


On the completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the evolving disruption in the external environment;
  • Identify relevant competencies required to adapt to a changing environment;
  • Develop self-awareness and your leadership style;
  • Identify your areas for improvement;
  • Apply the leadership framework (Triple A Model) to chart your leadership journey;
  • Learn about the Alliance Growth Triangle to drive business growth.

 

Training Methodology

This course is designed to have experiential and interactive learning through:

  1. Exploratory self-discovery sessions;
  2. Group discussions;
  3. Group activities such as games; and
  4. Individual inner reflections.


There will also be suggested resources for further improvement provided to support learners’ journey towards agile leadership

1] NTUC Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)
UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme) is an individual skills upgrading account for NTUC members.

NTUC members enjoy 50% *unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 01 April 2024 and 31 March 2025. *This excludes miscellaneous fees such as GST and registration fee etc.
 
This course is approved for UTAP support for intakes conducted between 01 April 2024 – 31 March 2025.
 
As UTAP is given on calendar year basis, and calculated based on year of training taken, it cannot be accumulated.

  • Maintained paid-up NTUC membership before course, throughout course duration and at the point of claim and;
  • Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP and training must commence within the supported period and;
  • Unfunded course fee must not be fully sponsored by company or other types of funding
  • Unfunded course fee must be S$20.00 and above, and;
  • Member must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any and;
  • UTAP application must be made within 6 months after course ends.
