The objective of the Technical Clinic is to provide a platform for Public Accountants to convene, share, and deliberate on issues relating to the implementation of Singapore Standards on Quality Management (SSQM). These discussions occur within a focused group setting with the overarching goal of enhancing audit quality.

Through these discussions, Public Accountants can glean insights from the experiences of their peers, empowering them to form independent judgments and craft tailored solutions for SSQM-related challenges. To fully harness the benefits of this discussion-based workshop, participants are strongly encouraged to openly share their SSQM-related issues and hurdles.

Ms Fua Qiu Lin
 
Ms Fua Qiu Lin is Divisional Director of Members and Stakeholders Engagement at the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). In her role, she oversees the Institute’s engagement activities to support the various member segments as well as engage key stakeholders such as the government agencies. The division also supports the small and medium-sized audit practices through initiatives to drive quality, digitalisation and growth. Her prior portfolio in ISCA includes professional standards development & advisory and quality assurance. She was a member of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) Working Group which supports and contributes to AFA’s efforts in supporting adoption and implementation of international standards and best practices in the ASEAN Member countries.
 
Ms Fua has audit experience in Big 4 as well as mid-sized accounting firms. She is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.

Ms Yap Ting Wen
Ms Yap Ting Wen is the Quality Assurance (QA) Reviewer at the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). In her capacity, she manages the Quality Assurance Review (QAR) Programme, where her responsibilities encompass which includes performing review of SMP’s system of quality management for compliance with SSQM, performing review of closed-off audit engagement files, and conducting tailored trainings.
 
Additionally, Ms. Yap is dedicated to implementing initiatives under ISCA's Quality Assurance Framework, with a strong focus on providing guidance and support to our valued members within the Small and Medium-Sized Practices (SMPs) community to enhance the quality of their audit work.
 
Prior to joining ISCA, Ms. Yap held the role of Audit Manager at one of Singapore's Big 4 accounting firms. She was also a Finance Manager at both a publicly listed company and a private enterprise, amassing expertise in the fields of auditing and finance. Her distinguished qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
