Programme Objective

Establishing effective communication throughout the audit and review process is one of the key elements of success for an Internal audit function.

In this session, participants would be empowered to better understand auditees and engage them more effectively during audits by applying techniques from the psychology of influence. Techniques and interactive role plays would be used to engage participants on how they can overcome obstacles in communicating audit issues and risk concerns to auditees. This would help participants to work collaboratively with auditees to help the enterprise achieve alignment between risks, controls and business outcomes.

4.2.   Techniques for clear and concise communication, including language, tone, and body language
4.3.   Strategies for engaging and motivating auditees
4.4.   Examples of successful communication techniques in auditing

 5.    Overcoming Obstacles to Communication and Influence

5.1.   Explore the common obstacles to effective communication and influence in auditing
5.2. Strategies for overcoming these obstacles, including building trust, adapting to different communication styles, and dealing with resistance
5.3.  Case studies and examples of successful strategies for overcoming obstacles in auditing
