With more organisations preparing for sustainability disclosures and leveraging “sustainability” as value proposition in their marketing communication, the topic of “greenwashing” is gaining traction. This workshop is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the implications of making greenwashing claims in stakeholder communications and the regulatory boundaries surrounding greenwashing. Participants will also learn how to mitigate greenwashing risks and communicate genuine sustainability efforts. 

At the end of the workshop, participants are able to:

Katy Kan

Katy Kan (PhD) has more than 30 years of experience across academia, education and commercial. Communication is foundational in all these endeavours. In particular, Dr. Kan has 20 years of experience teaching Business Communication at the tertiary level. She also spearheaded the setting up of the Continual Education and Training (CET) arm at the tertiary level to deliver SSG-approved communication workshops to the public. 

In the space of management consultancy, Dr Kan focuses on ESG framework development, stakeholder communication, and technical narratives for sustainability disclosure and sustainability training for various organisation clients.

As a corporate trainer, she has curated and conducted communication workshops for stakeholders of various institutions such as Hwa Chong Institution, SIM Global Education, and NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
