This workshop has been developed following the publication of the Illustrative Sustainability Report: Based on the GRI Standards and the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards(Illustrative Sustainability Report) by ISCA in October 2024.
The Illustrative Sustainability Report was developed to show how an entity might apply the IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability‑related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures requirements concurrently with the GRI Standards.
This guide follows the announcement in February 2024 that mandatory climate-related disclosures will be introduced in a phased approach in Singapore, in line with the recommendations of the Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee. Singapore Exchange Regulation also announced in September 2024 that it has enhanced its sustainability reporting regime and will start incorporating the latest international standards into its sustainability reporting regime following broad support from respondents to a public consultation.
This workshop aims to equip participants with an overview of sustainability reporting and the application of the ISSB Standards.
Using the Illustrative Sustainability Report as its foundation, the workshop will focus on hands-on exercises and case studies to enhance the learning experience. Through the interactive sessions, attendees are expected to gain practical insights and build their confidence to implement their learnings within their own organisations.
