Programme Objective

Government disburses significant amounts of grants every year for various public programmes and projects. For example, such grants could be given to the business sector to promote economic growth, or they can be for social objectives that are targeted at certain segments of the population.

These grants are administered by public sector agencies through a wide range of grant schemes. It is imperative that accountancy professionals uphold strong ethical standards and be able to address the common issues with grant governance.

This one-day programme deals with the challenging situations of managing government grants based on Singapore’s experience, as highlighted by various audit and fraud cases. It is interactive and presents several scenarios for discussion, including examples, case studies and best practices for learning.
