Good action oriented management reports are the basis for effective and successful businesses. Survey shows that 6 out of 10 CFOs in Singapore say their finance department devotes 50% or more of its time on grunt work of transaction processing and monthly closing activities, thereby hindering the generation of such action-oriented reports.

This unique programme shows you how to improve your productivity in reporting & analytical work by combining the various advanced tools and features of Microsoft Excel to fulfill your monthly financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and investment appraisal tasks in an automated fashion.

  • At the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
  • Design an appropriate database to support all reporting requirements
  • Build sustainable excel-based reporting models
  • Develop interactive models for decision making
  • Conceptualise scenarios and what-if analysis for investment evaluation
  • Create value-adding reports through use of visual and graphical skills

Testimonial

A very insightful course on what Excel can help in report building as well as a deeper understanding to functions within Excel.

Attended the BAR course which I found it to be insightful and something that I can apply to my course of work instead.

Jason

Many helpful excel tips to help me in my daily work.

Elvina

I will definitely recommend for all staff in Finance to attend the AER and BAR. It was an eye-opener how interactive reports can be done using Excel and using pictures to drive performance indicators across to management & stakeholders. With this skill, Finance reporting will no longer be labelled as "boring presentations".

Emily Goh

It was an enriching experience to discover for myself what Excel can do and how it can immensely improve the way we analyse and present our reports. Pace of class was very good, trainer helps to make our learning relevant by incorporating real life scenarios.

Megan

From this course I have improved my Excel skills, analytics and presentation skills. Suet Yin is very experienced and she shared her experience with us which is relevant and useful. I would recommend this course to my friends and colleagues.
