Programme Objective

There are various reasons for creating a business plan. In general, business plans are written when we are setting up a new business, or want people to invest serious money in our business. Such information provided in a business plan will not determine the success / failure of its business but it can assist in successfully promoting a business idea to senior management or client through focused planning and thorough preparation.

The learner will be guided step-by-step in writing a business plan from conducting research on pre-existing plans to performing administrative duties to complete the preparation of the business plan.

Programme Outline

At the end of the 2-day course, learners will be able to:

  1. Conduct research and review pre-existing strategic, business and operational plans of the organisation to understand the objective of developing a business plan. Learners will be led through the process of determining the objective(s) of the plan to analyzing of the data collected.

  2. Prepare report on research findings for immediate supervisors’ review and input into business plan. Presentation of the research findings is the next important step after the research has been conducted. The key components in the plan will be covered to help organize the information logically from the Executive Summary Report to the Action Plan.

  3. Prepare supporting collaterals and perform administrative activities to complete preparation of a business plan. These pertinent documents will assist in proving your case and may include Financial projections, Capital equipment list, Letters of support, reference, or credibility etc. Some administrative processes that are critical to complete the preparation of a business plan include reviewing of organization goals or liaising with strategic partners etc.
