Programme Objective

The Ethics Pronouncement (EP) 100 Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics issued by ISCA was updated to reinforce the fundamental principles of integrity, objectivity and professional behaviour for Accountants.

This programme aims to provide a forum for accountants to evaluate and apply ethics in complicated circumstances at work. Participants are engaged to role-play seven simulation exercises and discuss on the most appropriate responses when professional ethics are applied according to EP 100.

The simulation exercises focus mainly on applying professional ethics in demonstrating
 
  1. Independence
  2. Objectivity
  3. Professional Competence and Due Care
  4. Confidentiality
  5. Professional Behaviour

Upon completing this programme, you will be able to –
 
  • Understand and apply the key fundamental ethic principles in EP 100
  • Discuss and evaluate the most appropriate responses when dealing with ethical conflicts
  • Differentiate the Right from the Wrong in complicated cases that requires accountants to whistle-blow
  • Identify the most appropriate actions to mitigate ethical professional threats

Some of her major clients she worked with during her career include Malvern International, ACCA, CTBC Bank, MSIG, OCBC Bank and Central Bank of Malaysia.
