Programme Objective

Project management is an essential skill set in the delivery of an organisation’s transformation initiatives to achieve business objectives. Finance professionals who are involved in these initiatives will require effective project management skills to plan, implement and monitor tasks, process changes and technology improvements. This programme aims to enable participants to understand the fundamentals and basic principles of project management and provide tools for application.

Part 1: Project Management Foundation

  • Introduction to project management and common pitfalls
  • Understanding key roles and responsibilities in a project 
  • Gain insights to project management lifecycle and process groups
  • Learning to plan for project scope, cost, time, and resources and how to manage them
  • Applying project tools and techniques to build a project plan with sequenced project tasks lists, owners and deadlines to enhance effectiveness


Part 2: Managing Project Risks and Issues

  • Gain insights on project risks and what components should be included in every plan.
  • Applying practical approaches to identifying risks and issues and learning common risk responses to consider in monitoring and controlling risks.
  • Assessing overall project risks to keep your finance transformation projects on budget and on track.
  • Developing a risk management plan.


Part 3: Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Identifying key stakeholders that we need to manage.
  • Understanding the various types of stakeholders and learn how to manage stakeholders’ requirements effectively.
  • Developing a communication plan to achieve two-way communication goals and creating project reports.


Part 4: Monitoring and Controlling Project Baselines

  • Evaluating Project Progress and Performance
  • Taking corrective actions and managing scope changes
  • Project completion and sign off.


Part 5: Group Discussion and Exercise
 

  • Practical case study to apply tools and techniques and gain a holistic view of project management.

Well known for her transformation and change management expertise, she is currently in charge of APAC and engages with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to effectively manage strategic change and redesign functional processes for Finance, Operations and Infrastructure Support.
 
She has led multi-million dollar projects and teams across multiple projects Globally and across APAC, and brings diverse perspectives with her multi-country leadership roles.
 
A Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) practitioner, she is passionate in bringing organisational strategy to life through the successful implementation of large scale structured, purposeful and outcome oriented change.
 
Clarice's professional expertise builds upon her external audit and consulting experience with PwC Singapore, which spans over a decade. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ and ISCA) with a Masters of Commerce (Accountancy) from Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
