Young Members Connect – Fireside Chat and Networking Session

Synopsis

Founder x Funder – Entrepreneur and Investor Perspectives Behind the Business

Ever wondered what it takes to launch a business and get someone to believe in it enough to invest?

In partnership with the National Youth Council and as part of Singapore’s SG60 Youth Engagements, join us for an inspiring fireside chat that puts the spotlight on bold young trailblazers who dared to break the mold.

Featuring the founder and funder in this fireside chat, hear from Ms Amanda Poo, former PwC auditor turned founder of Playmade — one of Singapore’s most iconic bubble tea brands on how she took the bold leap from spreadsheets to startup, proving that an accounting background is not just a career path, but a launchpad for innovation and impact. From the funder's perspective, featuring Ms Jolene Lum, advisor at Cento Ventures, she will share candid insights into what it really takes to attract funding and scale a business in today’s competitive landscape.

Moderated by Maria Teo, Associate Director at CLA Global TS and Chairperson of the ISCA Young Professionals Advisory Committee, this session is your chance to hear real stories, ask real questions, and connect with fellow young professionals who are just as curious, ambitious, and driven as you are.
