BF009i: Business Valuation Fundamentals - Process, Standards, Approaches and Challenges
Programme Objective
Business valuation is often regarded as the process of ascertaining the value of a business, its ownership interest or a particular asset or liability. It is a key component of investor and corporate activities and is carried out for many purposes. In recent times, it has gained prominence because of the increase in mergers, acquisitions and divestments activities, legal proceedings involving dispute resolutions, emphasis on intangible assets (& intellectual properties) in business and the application of fair value measurements in financial reporting.
